CANDIED PEELS
Ingredients
1 kilo of oranges, 300gr of sugar.
Preparation
Directions: peel the oranges(buy the ones with thick peel), slice the peels in small stripes (take off the white part inside). Boil 2l of water and pour some on the peels, do this three times and every time drain the peels, it will eliminate the bitter from them. Dry the peels. Put on a low heat the sugar with half a glass of water. When the sugar melts add the peels and cook until the sugar crystallizes. Before they cool put the peels on a buttered tray, let them dry outside for a couple of days and then put them in a jar.
