ROCHER PIE
Ingredients
Ingredients for the sponge cake.300gr of flour, 3 eggs, 150gr of butter, 250gr of sugar,a glass of milk, a sachet of baking powder.
Ingredients for the stuffing: 400gr of Nutella, 160gr of hazelnuts, half a packet of hazelnut wafers, 200gr of fresh cream.
Ingredients for the topping:200gr of sugar paste, 2 spoonfuls of apricot jam. (If you can’t find the sugar paste buy some marshmallows and 250gr of icing sugar:melt the marshmallows in a pan with water and mix with the sugar making a dough. Wrap it in some film and put it in the fridge for 24 hours).
Preparation
Directions for the sponge cake: melt the butter and then mix all the ingredients, put in a baking pan at 180° for 45 minutes. Insert a toothpick to see if it is ready(it must be dry). Let it cool and then take off the crust from its sides.
Directions for the stuffing:chop the hazelnuts and the wafers, mix all the ingredients.Split the sponge cake into two circles,spread the stuffing on one of the circles,close with the other and spread the jam (previously melt in 2 spoons of water)on it.Roll out the sugar paste with a rolling pin and cover all the cake.Cut off the paste in excess(you can make some decorations to put on the cake with the paste left).
